Anyone reads the Hunter books and The Sun Sword books by Michelle West?
If so, how important it is to read the Hunter books in order to understand The Sun Sword books or to enjoy them fully?

I read The Sun Sword books without reading the Hunter stuff first. I liked the books but it did seem to me that she took a long time to explain situations between characters and sometimes just eluded to the past with out explaining it. I don't know anything about the first books but if any of the characters carry over I'd read them first.
