Well most of the other sections have their own trivia thread... I kinda figure "Hey!! We shouldn't leave games out. They are, after all, the greatest"

ok so it will pretty much the same way as all the other quizzes but I changed a couple things so it wouldn't die as quickly

1: The person who gives the question has to give an aspect of a specific game or of a series and we try to guess what it is....

2: this can be most anything (characters, weapons, places to quotes)

3: the first person to get it right poses a new question

4: to prevent any lag if a question isn't answered in 10 days ground is open for anyone to post a new question.

5: and please disignate if it is a series or a specific game...

Mine is from a series
the characters Biggs and Wedge
(this should be easy, it does not relate to a movie)

Oooo, What fun!

Monkey Island, I believe? Or I might just be thinking that from the quote.

If I'm right, then mine is a character (well, mostly)

Baron of Hell! and uh, Spider-demon... same game, two hints.

Yeah, Doom I & II. I knew it was the Spider-Demon, but wasn't sure about adding a second one, and the hyphenation.

I'm gonna guess System Shock/Marathon, although I'm pretty sure that's wrong.

yeah, it is wrong.

Further hints:
It is a PS2 game, concerns the story line of an old Squaresoft game, but is not made by Squaresoft

Mmmm, I think SHODAN was SS2/Marathon. Worth a try. How about, Xenogears then? I dunno though, but I believe that meets the criteria.

Whoops.

In a bit of a change, Here ar TWO hints, for two seperate games. They're pretty easy (I think), and technically both answers would be required. You can just answer any one though

1. Character - Purple Tentacle
2. Chaterters - The Covenant

Fair enough. The second one is from the timeless LucasArts adventure game - Day of the Tentacle. The full colour CD one. A fantastic game, absolutely spectaculr, one of the earliest of Lucas Arts' classicaly funny adventure games.

Speaking of which, did anyone ever play Grim Fandango? Or have any idea what I'm talking about? Sam & Max and Full Throttle rocked...

Speaking of Lucas, I'm hard pressed to think Lightsaber without Star Wars blazing through my head. I can't even think what kind of game, or around when... I'm gonna need a little something more M.

Good question. I know Ninja Gaiden had a lightsaber if you beat it on hard. I don't suppose that's what you're referring too. I think a few other games have it as an unlockable secret but as an actual weapon i dont know!

Well, that's Diablo II.. but i don't remember a lightsaber...

If that's the game you mean...than here's a question, maybe harder for you young folks, but any gamer from the first half of the 90s should know this:
Which game featured the alien race of galaxy masters named Ur-Quan?

Ha-ha! Star Control II! Awwwwwwww man that kicked ass. You can get a completely rebuilt version on the net - it's great fun to be able to play such a classic game. Sweet!

I think, I'll have to ask if anyone remembers the voluptous Latex Babes of Estros?

Heh, Space Quest 4, another one from the good old days of gaming. When Sierra was more than the company that publishes Half-Life...
I still want to be a spaceship janitor.

Ok, another one from that time, which game took place in the land of Mordavia?

Space Quest 5 was my favourite, although all of them were great. I love how Sierra went back and prettied up the old ones, definitely worth it.

I was also a fan of Police Quest, as well as Lesiure Suit Larry. Speaking of which, this article mentions an upcoming Larry game from Sierra, which is pushing the boundaries of what's considered appropriate. I remember being a kid and spending tons of effort trying to get by the 'age protection' on the originals, as in answering topical questions that an adult would know. Priceless fun!

And as for your question Antacid - I'm going to confidently say Quest for Glory 4. Which sucked compared to the previous three.

As for my next one, it's an ojbect: 'The Tiger's Claw'.

The new Larry game is more GTA style gaming than adventure gaming, to appeal to the new gamers that don't like to use their mind much, which is ok, but too bad for us old gamers.

Tiger's Claw, are you referring to the spaceship carrier in Wing Commander? if so, let me say it again: ahhh... the good old days.

If that's the answer, here's a question:
In what game's world lies the land of Azeroth?
Easy one, for newer gamers too.

GTA style eh? Going around waxin' chicks? Hmmm, sounds.. as you said, mindless. Wing Commander also rocked, I played it up to #3, they were all pretty kick ass. Did anyone ever play 4? I'm curious as to how good it was.

That is of course, we're assuming the Tiger's Claw isn't some magical pendant or some sort.

On that assumption, I'd have to say Warcraft was on the world of Azeroth (although I suppose it's possible that was Diablo.. but I doubt it).

Here's a bit of a newer on as well: Samonosuke Akechi
