Just wondering what you guys have listened to in a non recorded setting, whether it's good or not, and what you'd like to listen to.

I've hit the canadian answer to lollapalooza (among others, however you spell it) Edgefest, and there's the standard smattering of up and coming bands, a few worth hearing, like Tea Party and OLP. Not a huge fan of outdoor concerts though, the acoustics being pretty crappy.

Excellent concerts I've been to are pretty well NIN, which is great - amazing live show, and Tool, which goes without saying - greatest concert ever. Maynard kicks ass.

I would die to see Counting Crows, but they never seem to make it to Canada. Also would like some Ryan Adams, and a few others.

What about you guys?

Haven't seen much in the way of live music - aside from local bands at bars and clubs and the like.

I would like to though. I'd especially like to catcht the beatles live, but I have a funny feeling that it's not going to happen.

I'd LOVE to see the Tea Party some time, they're amazing...

I think the Tea Party would be more suited to a concert hall, or just something indoors with better acoustics than an outdoor concert. I really love their older stuff. 'Edges of Twilight' is a fantastic CD.

Can I ask if anyone has seen the DVD of Silverchair: Live From Faraway Stables outside Australia. I went to their live performance in Adelaide, and it was great. I've also seen Rammstein, that was outdoors, and a lot of other, smaller Australian bands at outdoor gigs. Recently went to O'Ball just before Uni started, and that's just a big outdoor live music gig at the end of O'Week, just before Uni starts. This year they had Epicure, Pornstars, Augie March, and Little Birdy. Last year they had Grinspoon, and a couple of others I can't remember.

I make a new vow, one weighed in experience and proclaimed with my eyes open: I will not raise my scimitars except in defense: in defense of my principles, of my life, or of others who cannot defend themselves. I will not do battle to further the causes of false prophets, to further the treasures of kings, or to avenge my own injured pride.
