Today i finished the new computer game in the World of Darkness, Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines.
It's an RPG based on the pen and paper RPG of the same name and using the Half-Life 2 engine.
And it's fucking great, best game i played this year probably and one of the best i played ever.
If you like your gaming experience dark, twisted, perverted and violent, this game is for you.
The game is highly story based, the missions are great, not just the normal go-fetch-random-magical-item missions of usual RPGs.
And it has everything that is dark and twisted - criminals, cops, vampires, werewolves, serial killers, demons, whores, peeping toms, lunatics, drug dealers, russian mobsters, bounty hunters, vampire hunters, mutants, haunted mansions, incest, orgies involving animals... and more... in other words, if you are under 18, don't tell your parents about it.
In any case, i highly recommend, buy it, warez it, just play it.
Not for fans of mindless FPS and other kinds of action games.

What kind of RPG? Like Diablo style, or like old-school M&M, FF, what? Especially combat, if it's just the click on a bunch of baddies Diablo approach, I got to say - it's worn thin. I'm a big fan of turn-based combat in RPG's...

Think more Morrowind or Gothic, but instead of fantasyland, bigbadvampireland.

I suppose i should elaborate: this RPG has depth, the combat is done like in a first person shooter or a third person shooter, depends what view you take, but it depends on your stats, how much damage you make, how fast you load your gun or how fast you swing your katana.

It's not Final Fantasy like, it's not turn based RPG like if you are thinking Krondor, it's definitly not Diablo like.
Anyway, people who played Morrowind or Gothic/Gothic 2 should know what i'm talking about.
