Has anyone here been reading the Takeshi Kovacs books by Richard K. Morgan? So far they include Altered Carbon and Broken Angels.

I ask this because I have read both and rather liked them and the next book, Woken Furies, comes out today. I just wanted anyone who liked them know.

Holy crap, I missed this one.

Woken Furies was AWESOME. I loved Altered Carbon, thought Broken Angels was good, but not as good as the opener.

Woken Furies was far better than the second, and almost as good as Altered Carbon. I really liked this book, and a fan of Richard Morgan.

I hate that Tak didn't use the Nemex in this one though, that's a good solid gun. Good interplay, nice to finally run into Ms. Viadura.

What'd you think?

Haven't heard of them, let alone read them, what are they about?

I make a new vow, one weighed in experience and proclaimed with my eyes open: I will not raise my scimitars except in defense: in defense of my principles, of my life, or of others who cannot defend themselves. I will not do battle to further the causes of false prophets, to further the treasures of kings, or to avenge my own injured pride.

I read only Altered Carbon, was ok, pretty boring at times, nothing special.
