Ok, so here's the question. We all know that Arya is tough as nails and we all expect her to become the avenger of her family's destruction. What do you make of her being blinded by that potion?

Do you think it's permanent? I doubt it.. Although it would be interesting if she could be a blind killing machine who sees her victims with the eyes of her soul or something, it would be way too much.

I can't decide if it's just a way to introduce her into the next level of training to be a Faceless man or if it's punishment for killing the deserter... I think it HAS to be training. Maybe being blind will help her focus on her other senses.. and after a while they'll restore her vision to her. I don't know.

What do you think? It sucks that we'll have to wait two books to find out. The minute I read about her going blind I went through the book to see if there's another Arya chapter.. and I wasn't surprised at all to see that there wasn't one. That's just so typical.

It is not enough to conquer;
one must learn to seduce.

I would tend to agree for the most part, the only thing that throws me off is the disappointment (not quite anger) that is revealed with the words "It looks like Arya has returned to us" ... he is DEFINATELY not pleased by the killing/assassination. so it could in fact be a punishment. Secondly, we are only assuming that Arya is in training to be a faceless man.. GRRM has revealed nothing of the sort.

That is all,
