Okay, I watched a couple of movies the last few weeks (my girlfriend and baby had gone to her parents for a while...) and Van Helsing was one of them...

Sad to say I was rather tired when I watched it (thanks to my little baby daughter...), but still I had high expectations...
Which were fulfilled somewhat, but certainly not completely...The first half hour was truly stupendous, I thought, with Mr. Hyde as a very nice introduction to the historical setting...

But when Dracula's plan became apparent, I sorta' lost interest and it was quite an uphill struggle to watch 'till the ending credits...

I liked the historical setting and the over-the-top action scenes (well-orchestrated), but simply found it to be a tad too long...

Still, could have been much worse and Hugh Jackman has proven he can carry his own weight easily...

People overgeneralize too often
